STARRY NIGHT OVER THE RHONE
Post-impressionism maybe the foundation for modern art today, but an artist must learn about the roots to see the future. Last year when I visited Musée d'Orsay, this special painting called “Starry Night over the Rhone” by Vincent Van Gogh just caught my eye and I knew in that moment that I had to do something about it.
Creating the collection was all about interpreting the original painting in a wearable form. Little details like The Great Bear (constellation), the reflection of the lights and darkness of the night have been depicted in our technique and color scheme. Stainless Steel was selected for the stars and reflections because that was something that could truly reflect the strength, modernism and forward thinking of the post-impressionists.
The collection is aimed at a modern woman who loves to keep a bit of heaven without going gaga. It’s a wearable collection made from Genuine leather, High quality Linen and Fine Net with interchangeable pieces that can be worn as is or mixed and matched to create a new look each time.
